BRRI and ASED HABIGONJ signed MoU with JICA for financial support to a project named “Practice and Dissemination of Disaster-Resistant Climate Change-Adaptive Agriculture Expansion in the Hoar Area of Bangladesh”.

Japanese international development agency Share the Planet Association and local non-governmental organization Ased Habiganj undertook a project to widely disseminate some of the new high-yielding rice varieties suitable for cultivation in Haor region among the farmers. The Japanese International Development Cooperation Agency JICA has agreed to provide financial support for this project implemented with the technical assistance of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute. On August 17, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed at BRRI Habiganj Regional Office.
